Interactive Wizarding World: Hogwarts Legacy
I enjoyed Hogwarts Legacy, because I used to be a fan of Harry Potter. And Hogwarts Legacy would be the game I'd pick if I had to play one. (WARNING: SOME SENTENCES COULD BE MISTAKEN AS SPOILERS) Here are my thoughts on Hogwarts Legacy:
Since I linked my Epic Games account to my Harry Potter account, my house, wand, and some special gear had already transferred over, and I began the storyline as a Slytherin.
Let me tell you, the Slytherin common room is the right balance between inviting and this-place-is-scary. It's neither side of the extremes. At the Slytherin common room, you get introduced to 3 specific people: Ominis Gaunt (odd one out in a family obsessed with Dark Arts), Sebastian Sallow (ambitious to find a cure for his sister) and Imelda Reyes (Slytherin Quidditch captain).
Afterwards, we begin our journey. Other than a few specific things, the gameplay is what the player wants to experience, not a rigid mission-by-mission story. I appreciate that, because open-world and free-roam games are my thing.
I don't have favorite missions, but the side storylines I liked are Natsai's and Sebastian's. Poppy's side storyline was meh, but the ending was chef's kiss. Natsai's storyline teaches us about bravery, and Sebastian's is about two things: family is first, and self-control is a VALUABLE thing.
I don't have a favorite character, because all characters have their own place. There's no need to change something in Hogwarts Legacy, but I'd appreciate if all Hogsmeade shops were made accessible. And I personally think opening our own shop doesn't have to be THAT difficult.
I could go on for HOURS if I was to talk about everything, but the summary is the same: would be better if there was less Collectibles and more side storylines.
